We have been using Open C tuning. Starting this Tuesday, we will be switching to Standard tuning. The only difference is the fourth string, the blue string, will now be tuned to A.

We should all be practicing in the Essential Elements book up to #22. These should be done without the bow, and then with the bow once more comfortable. Please review all of the notes from D below the staff to the higher D the second line from the top of the staff.

I am including a play along track here for you of the D scale. It starts with whole notes, then has half notes, four quarter notes for each pitch, one quarter note each pitch, and finally eighth notes. This is a good way to start your practice sessions.
