Nice work completing Lesson 8 on the holiday songs. I hope you had fun with these.

1. Start lesson 9. These are all notes you know, write in any you are unsure of. Just make sure you count to 3 for every tune and remember that the dotted half bote gets 3 beats. Have fun with this!

Nice work in Book 2!

1. Review Lesson 1. Take your time on #7. Watch those 8th notes and the dotted quarter notes that get 3 beats.

2. Practice Lesson 2.

1. Review what we did in class, Lesson 9, #1-4, write in any notes you are unsure of.

2. Practice Lesson 9, #5-9. remember this is all in 3/4 time. Only 3 beats per measure and the dotted half note gets 3 beats.

Keep on reviewing the notes on the G string. Always warmup with lots of long bows on that string.

3. Practice slowly #100-102. Pluck and then bow. Write in any notes or fingerings you may need.

4. Go on to 103, 104, and 105 if you feel comfortable.

2. Practice Lesson 1, #5-7. Go slow! Watch those accents!

1. Practice bowing on the D string. Go slow! Say “Peanut butter” when you pull the bow down and “Fluffer Nutter” when you push the bow back up. Do this at least 8 times each time you practice. If you can do it without bumping any other string, try it again on the A string.
